Have a look at my blog, it will be interesting for you. I created a small shellscript to extract the .fon firmware/upgrades.

The version of the the big fonera.tar.bz2 is still 0.7.0 rev 5. No new source is available for the just released 0.7.1 rev 1.

$ cat package/base-files/default/etc/fon_device
fonera
$ cat package/base-files/default/etc/fon_revision
5
$ cat package/base-files/default/etc/fon_version
0.7.0

Greetings Michael

If you stick with "cheesy", you could map a pattern of cheese holes over the banner. ;) Other seeds of inspiration I can think of involve Fondoo being a "Fon" party event, with the more the merrier... No two exactly alike... Too hot to swallow right away - contemplate it a moment first...

As long as the wifi handset can use non-Fon hotspots as well, then this is almost a non-issue. Open wifi is allready far more abundant than the Rabbit stations ever were. However, if we have to go hunting for a Fon hotspot, then it will encounter nearly identical resistance to penetrating the market.
